Baby's First Christmas Ornament

  • Clear ornament
  • Hospital Bracelet
  • Hospital Hat

  • Directions: Place hat and bracelet inside the clear ornament.

Scrabble Piece Christmas Ornament

  • Scrabble letters for your baby's first name (Emily would need E, M, I, L, and Y)
  • Blank scrabble pieces(3-5)
  • Glue
  • Sharpie
  • Ornament hooks, metal
  • Ribbon
  • Directions:
    1. Glue the scrabble letters together to make your baby's name.
    2. Write your baby's birth month on a blank tile. (If she's born in July, write 7 or 07 )
    3. Repeat step two with the birth day, (If she's born on the 15th, write 15).
    4. Repeat step two with the birth year. (If she's born in 2017, write 2017 or 17).
    5. OPTIONAL: Birth Weight
      • Follow step two with the pounds and then the ounces that baby weighed, such as 7lbs on the first tile, 6oz on the second.
    6. Glue the scrabble tiles with the birth information together
    7. Use the ornament hooks or metal to hook the glued sets together.
    8. Glue the ribbon to the backs of the scrabble pieces to hang on the tree

    Shadow Box

    Shadow boxes are great ideas to commemorate your little one's birth! Things to include:
    • Photo from the first day
    • Stats like height, weight, date, time, etc.
    • Baby Hat/Hospital Band/Mitts/Receiving Blanket/Onesie
    • Foot and hand prints

    Foot Stepping Stones

    • 1/2 cup of salt
    • 1/2 cup of flour
    • 1/4 cup of water

    1. Knead until dough forms
    2. Make impression
    3. Bake at 200 degrees for 3 hours

    4. Do at the same time every year! For example, every summer or every birthday!
